On this page I will post information about current hunting at Burke Farms. I will list information about game movement, what I have been seeing, how hunts are going and any pictures of game in the wild I can capture.
9/15/10 Archery Deer/Turkey and Shotgun Turkey seasons open today. Looks like another outstanding crop of Turkeys this year. Deer are up as well. Pheasant and Quail numbers look to be outstanding as well with our area ranking as the #1 place in the state for overall abundance of birds with a 21% increase over last year. We have record numbers of Adult Turkeys as well with numbers showing a 40% increase over last year. Got a couple of nice bucks on my trail cameras so far. Added them below for everyone to enjoy.
1/20/09 Pheasant/Quail/Chukar hunting continues. Still finding good numbers of birds. Looking for a great Spring Turkey Season. Large numbers of birds wintering over in the area.
12/20/08 Muzzleloader and Rifle Deer Seasons were very successful. Pheasant/Quail/Chukar numbers have been pretty decent. Fall Turkey Hunting is still underway with good numbers seen. Birds are bunching up as the weather has turned cold.
